SAVE THE DATE FOR THE PRESCOTT ART DOCENTS’ ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP RECEPTION
On Monday, August 15, the Prescott Art Docents offer an opportunity for people to join their non-profit service organization of enthusiastic men and women who bring enriching art experiences to children and adults in the quad-city area. The theme of this year’s Membership Reception is “Kaleidoscope of Art” which will be held at the Prescott Public Library Founders Suites A&B, 215 E. Goodwin St., from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If you love art, wish to learn about art, and wish to talk art, Joslyn at 951-218-4820 or firstname.lastname@example.org will give you information about the Prescott Art Docents and the August Reception.
There is no need to have artistic skills or a background in art history or teaching. As a Docent, you will be given training which has been condensed to a 12 week session, being offered both in the fall and the spring of 2016-2017 school year. Continuing art education is available through the Monday Morning Program series. Docent service opportunities include visiting classrooms using masterpiece art reproductions, giving art talks to adult groups, and participating in two programs, “Art in June” and “Art Days in the Library” in conjunction with the Prescott Public Library. The personal enrichment opportunities include the Monday morning programs, which are talks that feature artists, architects, art educators, museum curators, and Docents, field trips to museums and galleries around Arizona, and a biennial adventure trip to major cities outside of Arizona.
Prescott Art Docents has been a volunteering tradition since 1971. Join us on Monday, August 15, and see who we are and what we do.
