Modern Masters Acrylic Paint

Modern Masters has moved their main office to the suburbs of Chicago as being part of the6oz-top.1259946275 Rust-o-leum corporation. With this office move, Modern Masters has decided to discontinue their JWR Artist’s Acrylics (the base colors only) in small containers (6oz & 16oz) that was still being produced from our local state of California. The paint you have grown to love from the Art Store for the last 20 years is now only available in gallon sizes by special order. This paint is awesome for murals and larger projects or any other larger paintings. At this time the Art Store still has some of the 6oz & 16oz colors you may have grown used to using. Stop by the store to check on what is still available of this great paint. Better yet, order a gallon of it to really get creative.

Did they discontinue any of the metallic line, wildfire, metal effects or venetian plaster lines of paint in smaller containers? They did by dropping one of the metallic lines of color choices – stop by the store to check which one.

With this discontinuation announcement of the gallon sizes only being offered now of the JWR acrylics, Modern Masters has also released their new line of products for our more aggressive environments such as our southwest sun. If you wanted to use a paint that would last in our area, you usually needed to use One-shot enamel. Modern Masters is not saying it is a durable as this oil-based paint but it is a lot more durable than any other water-based paints offered.

They are specifically formulated with the finest ingredients that are resistant to the damaging effects of the sun’s ultra-violet rays resulting in a highly fade resistant paint. Versatile application properties go beyond the brush, roll or spray techniques of typical architectural paints, allowing for specialty finishes from subtle color washes for rockwork to bold saturated colors for high visibility and impact. It is perfect for scenic artists painting theme parks, themed hotels and restaurants, backdrops and façades, and entertainment venues. It is also perfect for commercial contractors painting retail store fronts, restaurant chains, educational institutions, and commercial properties when vibrant or deep long lasting colors are desired.

Modern Masters’ Theme Paints were created for the world’s largest theme park companies who happen to be the most demanding audience, when it comes to color and color branding. Fading color means fading interest and fading income, which is not an option for this discerning group.
