Keith Kendall, instructor.
Keith Kendall apprenticed under his father since he was in his diapers. His father is a classically trained master artist that was recognized by Who’s Who in America for Art during his senior year of John Herron School or Art. Assisting the production of art of K & K studios, he has experienced a tremendous amount of professionalism. Surrounded by Artists all his life, he continued his studies under several other master artists. Most of the monumental bronzes in the Prescott area he was instrumental in sculpting and/or refinishing them. Continued his studies by completing his illustration degree in painting at Yavapai College. He now owns the Art Store solely, his passion fed by helping others. Teaching for nearly 20, years his students have gone on to win gold medals for their efforts at national art shows. Much of K & K Studios portfolio can be seen here. Some examples of his work is on the Art Store sales floor.
The required supply list can be found here. Materials extra.
Please do not expect to use any turpentine painting techniques in this class. Even though the studio has an exhaust system, the sensitivity of the low grade mineral spirits and turpentine is very toxic to some of the students. The instructor will ask you to change to other products such as Gamsol as a requirement.
