  • Professional Pigmented Watercolor Paints – M. Graham (instructor uses mostly M. Graham) or Daniel Smith Watercolors are recommended:

 Most importantly, bring what you have and we will evaluate your color options concerning your palette; and then, desired color choices can be discussed. Student grade paints will not mix properly.

  • PAPER: ONE SHEET OF 140 POUND COLD PRESS ACID FREE RAG PAPER (Arches, Fabriano and/or Global Art)


Equipment to bring yourself:

  • BRUSHES: ONE INCH FLAT, ROUND VARIOUS SIZES (2, 4, 6, 8)
  • (2) LARGE PLASTIC WATER CONTAINERS (quart size)
  • WATERCOLOR PALETTE (20 cells or larger)
  • LARGE OLD TOWEL
  • PAPER TOWELS
  • NUMBER TWO (HB) PENCIL, lighter (2H OR 4H) if you have a heavy hand,
  • ERASER (soft factis)
  • ARTIST TAPE OR MASKING TAPE (1″ or wider)
  • SUPPORT BOARD: SEALED BOARD, GATORBORD[16”X24” or larger]
  • SALT (regular table salt)
  • A SMALL PIECE OF PLASTIC WRAP
  • MASKING FLUID (any brand)
  • A SMALL BAR OF SOAP (masters soap)
