Professional Acrylic Paint:
Golden Acrylics Colors Preferred – Heavy Body, Fluid or Open determined by your project. Start with heavy body if you do not have any of these paints. Further projects will determine your needs. Purchase 2oz tubes of all colors, titanium white is used with mixing the most in tinting. This color is recommended to be purchased in the 5oz size.

Paintbrushes:
Synthetic flat brushes ranging in sizes from 1/8″ , 1/4″ & 3/4 ” (start with inexpensive black utility brushes)
Very small pointed synthetic round water-media brush
3″ & 4″soft, black synthetic house painting utility brushes (two needed)
Other Equipment:
Hair Dryer: Two Speed with cold and hot setting preferred
Paper Towels: Cheapest brand, so that they are not too absorbent
Palette Knives: one large for mixing, one small for painting in detail
Mixing Palette: Masterson’s covered palette or 12×16 palette pad
Sprayer: Misting spray bottle for keeping the paint workable, instructor will share his palette design at the first day of class.
Painting surface: a primed cotton gallerywrap canvas, , medium texture, for February’s class the requested size is 20×24. A regular stretcher bar canvas is possible to use but will be more expensive to frame it.
Other Painting Supplies:
A jar (8oz or larger) of white gesso. Professional grade.
