Everybody who had their schedule be flexible enough in September had a great time with the therapeutic collage workshop taught by certified art therapist, Lynn Underwood.
Each attending student received some awesome Golden acrylic samples, an ampersand board and a lot of exciting new collage techniques. Many design experiments were also experimented with and reviewed. Color Mixing? Of course each student had great fun learning how to mix properly.
Much fun had for all! What does a mixed collage artist’s table look like? Well a whole bunch of creative for sure!
So much fun was had that we had requests for future events held on the weekend sometime in the near future. We will be looking ahead on our schedule to have some fun in the new year.
For October, the following Art Store classes have made and will be proceeding:
October’s Drawing Class held on Saturday mornings from 10am to noon. This class still has 
room in it and is a lightly attended class at this time. If you wish to reserve your space for October please feel free to contact us at the store or sign up online here. This lightly attended class can really benefit your understanding of the drawing process due to a low number of attendees for this month. October’s Pastel Class held on Tuesdays has been split for this month. The morning and afternoon class is now available for single sessions since the class has now made for both sessions. The amount of seats available will be determined by the pre-registered student’s preference of morning or afternoon attendance. Some students have decided to attend both morning and afternoon due to their conflicting personal schedule (this is possible only after we have 4 students in each class). If you wish to register for the entire month of morning or afternoon classes, please call us and check which sessions are open for attendance. Single sessions are offered now for both sessions, so your options are now the best they can be.
October’s sculpture class is proceeding from week to week on Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm. This class is a single session class and is very open to your needs for each sculpture technique. Just click the image to the left to register for any days in October or call ahead to see if there are any open seats on the days you wish to attend.
Our Introductory Painting Class on Mondays in October with Neil Orlowski is also proceeding .To register for this class for the month, you will need to call the instructor at 928-642-8018. Mr. Orlowski manages all of his own students and classes. He can review your knowledge of the painting processes and tell you if his teaching can benefit you with where you are at right now. At this time, the October Watercolor class does not have enough students to proceed into October. We are waiting for a couple more signups. We will make the decision for this class to proceed or not by 1pm on Saturday. It is not offered in November due to the class instructor not being available during this time. If you wanted to take this class recently to really understand the techniques of watercolor painting, this is a great to time to sign up. You will have a lot one on one instruction due to the low number of students attending at this time.
