May’s Workshop with Social Distance aka Plein Air Painting

Plein Air painting started about 1813 with John Constable in England and quickly spread to France where it became an important part of Impressionism.
Today it is the most popular Art form in America. “En Plein Air” akacreating Artwork on location.
This three day intensive workshop starts with a “practice Painting” in the Plein Air style
Meeting in the Art Store studio for 2 hours on the 29th of May. The class then proceeds to Watson Lake for lunch (please bring your own). Afterwards comes location scouting and an afternoon of Plein Air painting. Wet paintings may be stored at The Art Store. The next session of the workshop meets over the next two days (30th and 31st) later in the late morning at Watson Lake (please bring a lunch) for continued Plein Air painting at two different locations. Expect 4+ hours of instruction each day.
Available spaces for this workshop is limited to 8 attendees.

Paintings shown are from the instructor’s portfolio, with over 20+ years of instructing others.
