As we come from our isolation with good intentions, we find ourselves blinking in the light of the world. Wondering how to calm ourselves as well as make this life meaningful. I think a class may bring you back to a good state of mind. Nothing can alleviate stress like exercise or the act of creation with some social distancing.
The Art Store class and workshop schedule for June has been released. After this last month, the following changes occurred:
- Our weekly painting class has filled consistently on Thursdays to the CDC recommended size so the class is being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays now. Thursday class will most likely fill quickly so please sign up with some assertiveness.
- The Weekly Drawing class on Saturdays has met its minimums as of the 27th of May. There are 2 spaces left that are available for the May class.
- The plein air workshop at Watson Lake with Patrick Harper has also met its minimums and is proceeding on Friday the 29th of May.
- At the end of June, Karel Armstrong is teaching a watercolor workshop

I also would like to thank our community for choosing wisely in using art therapy to control their anxieties during these stressful times. After being a resident of Prescott for 40 years and 20 years being an art store owner, I was not about to close the store as many of our customers require materials to manage their stresses as well as their college and construction needs. The store was very busy during last month and we feel the community needs were met. May you continue to create and manifest your own worlds as you feel fit. – Keith Kendall, Owner & Manager, The Art Store, LLC
