One or two sheets of Arches Paper, 140 # cold press, 22 x 30, natural white, torn to quarters

Board to attach paper (gatorboard or sealed wood board)

Non- patterned tape to attach paper to board (gummed tape, masking tape, artist’s tape)

OPTIONAL: Small Rectangle flat mirror and 12 inch ruler

Standard 18 -24 wells watercolor palette WITH large mixing areas

Your favorite colors of professional quality pigments. Colors should include:

BLUES: Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerrulean Blue, optional Mayan Blue

YELLOWS: Lemon Yellow, Transparent Yellow, or Hansa Yellow light, New Gamboge, Yellow Ochre or Raw Sienna

REDS: Anthraquinoid Red, Permanent Alizarin or Permanent Red, OR other red you like. Have warm and cool reds

Quinadcridone Burnt Orange

GREENS: Sap Green, Optional: Veridian Green, Daniel Smith Undersea Green. we will be mixing greens from the yellows and blues.

2 flat bottom plastic water jugs

Flat brushes, 1/4 inch and 1 inch (may also use 1/2 inch)

ROUND BRUSHES: #3 or 4, and #8 or 10 (small and medium)




Terry towel table cover

Viva paper towels, hair dryer

H graphite pencil

Kneaded and white eraser

optional: piece of tracing paper 11 x 15, clear acetate or duralar, 11 x 14 (or close)
