DESCRIPTION:This workshop is being taught by local monument builder\, ex-foundry owner\, master foundryman and sculptor with 40 years of experience. Most noted in the Phippen Museum on their Tree of Bronze locally. \n \n  \nLocal monuments in the area that he has worked on or maintained is: \n\nThe Early Rodeo Monument\, which is at this time being stored in preparation of the renovation of the Rodeo Grounds.\nSilver Tornado at the Hospital Grounds\nCowboy at Rest\, which is on the south side of the Yavapai County Courthouse\nBucky O’Neil Restoration on the Yavapai County Courthouse\nThe Veterans’ Memorial on the Yavapai County Courthouse\n\nMany of the local sculptures were produced by or restored by local artisans. You can find many in public areas as well as personal collections. The list of monuments produced by this instructor is vast as he spent nearly 40 years in the business making armatures for his and his father’s work as well as for other artists. \nThe focus of this instruction is to explain nuances of sculpture armature building for a figure to be viable to mold as well as create castings that would be saleable. The use of the proper tools\, materials and math that will allow you to achieve your goals in the sculpture world. \nMolding techniques will be discussed as time permits.
