Oil-based Clay

  1. Basic Sculpture Kit for ceramic and/or oil-based clay
  2. 9″x12″ sketchbook or larger
  3. Pencil or pen
  4. Eraser
  5. One sheet of tracing paper
  6. 2 to 10 pounds of oil-based clay (depending on your project)
  7. X-acto knife
  8. Pictures of project(s) to reproduce or that may inspire your own project(s)
  9. Proper armature for your project (will be discussed on day one of class, below items are just some possible materials)
  • One roll of aluminum foil
  • One pound (or more) of art wax (found on Art Store sales floor)
  • Various plumbing supplies (usually purchased with instructor after design is completed)
  • Melamine shelf material suitable for your project
  • Armature Wire

Ceramic Kiln Services offered to all paying students within our sculpture class at no additional charge. No production pottery projects are accepted in these classes. Additional costs can be estimated for any large production projects.
